PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously project two videos to separate screens with one unit of projector. SOLUTION: The video signals from terminals 1a and 1b are digitalized in first and second analog-to-digital conversion sections 2a and 2b. The digitalized signals are compressed in the horizontal direction to a half in first and second compressing sections 11a and 11b and two screens are lined up on the right and left and composited in a second compositing section 12 and are converted into analog signals in a digital-to- analog conversion section 4. The signals are processed in a signal processing section 5 and are impressed to a second LCD section 13 where the red, green and blue rays of light thereof are modulated by LCDs 13R, 13G and 13B. The signals are synthesized by a cross prism 13x and are outputted. The left half portion of the video ray of light is reflected by a mirror 14a and its lateral direction is made two times of its londitutinal direction and are projected to the screen 9a. The right half portion of the video rays of light is reflected by a mirror 14b and its lateral direction is made two times of longitudinal direction by a projection lens 15b, and thereafter the video ray light are projected onto the screen 9b. A partition plate 10 is disposed to prevent the interference of the right and left video rays of light with each other. |
