摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for measuring the quantity of flow capable of accurately measuring the quantity of flow of a fluid through the use of an exothermic source and temperature detecting elements and also accurately measuring a very small quantity and an extremely small quantity of flow. SOLUTION: The apparatus for measuring the quantity of flow comprises the exothermic source 2 arranged in a channel 1 of the fluid, a first temperature detecting element 3 arranged on the downstream side of the exothermic source in the channel of the fluid, a second temperature detecting element 4 arranged on the drownstream side of the first temperature detecting element in the channel of the fluid, a pulse power source 5 for making the exothermic source generate pulsed heat by exothermic drive pulses, and a flow quantity computing part 8 for obtaining the quantity of flow of the fluid from the time difference between an exothermic drive time, the time corresponding to a specific part of the exothermic drive pulses and the time when the difference between the temperature of the fluid detected by the first temperature detecting element and the temperature of the fluid detected by the second temperature detecting element changes from positive to negative.
