PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of short circuit inside a battery by mixing of chips and dust. SOLUTION: This electrode cutting device is provided with a first cutter 2 having a cutting edge 5a and a second cutter 3 having a cutting edge 3a and disposed in the opposite side of the first cutter in the other side of an electrode 14. The electrode is clamped and cut by the cutting edge of the first cutter and the cutting edge of the second cutter. The first cutter is formed with a suction passage 9 and suction means 12 connected to the suction passage and operated in cutting the electrode is provided.
