PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome such a problem that it takes trouble and time to fix a guide pin. SOLUTION: This guide pin is inserted into the guide pin holes of a couple of optical connectors to be connected and has a fixation part which can be pressed and fixed in the guide pin hole of one optical connector at one lengthwise part and the fixation part has an external diameter larger than any other part or has an intruding projection which can intrudes into the inner circumferential surface of the guide pin hole. The guide pin is inserted into the guide pin hole of one optical connector from the opposite end surface side from the join end surface of the optical connector, lengthwise part of the guide pin is projected out from the join end surface, and lengthwise part of the projecting guide pin is inserted into the guide pin hole of the other optical connector from the join end surface side of the optical connector, thereby making the join end surfaces of both the optical connectors abut against each other.
