PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high-speed transfer of articles by accurately stabilizing the articles without causing damage or deformation of the articles. SOLUTION: The high-speed transfer is achieved by sucking an article 1 to a recess 5a in a first rotating disc 5 by use of a working unit 12, and moving the article to a transfer position 59 by the rotation of the first rotting disc 5. A pawl 11 is used to move the article 1 over a slide table 13 toward a recess 9a in a second rotating disc 9 (in the direction indicated by the arrow g) and the article is sucked there. After the sucking, the pawl 11 is moved toward the recess 5a in the first rotating disc 5 (in the direction indicated by the arrow h) so as to be ready for the next transfer.
