PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the high efficiency of wastewater treatment by enhancing the ability of supporting microorganisms. SOLUTION: In such a microorganism carrier for treating waste water as to insert the microorganisms in the wastewater, the carrier is constituted of a cylindrical body formed in such a way that a sheet-shaped raw material is cylindrically bent and overlapped at one part, and that the inside part of the overlapped part is free in the end part.
