PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewage residue decomposition treatment apparatus capable of preventing the outflow of a microorganism holding medium from a refuse treatment tank to automatically discharge only treated residue. SOLUTION: In the sewage residue decomposition treatment apparatus constituted so that ceramic balls (e) having an arbitrary constant diameter are housed in a sewage residue decomposition treatment tank 1 comprising a horizontally arranged rotary drum and sewage residue (c) separated from sewage is decomposed and dried, a separation plate 15 having holes smaller than the diameter of the ceramic balls (e) is arranged to the outlet part formed to the almost center of the end surface of a sewage residue decomposition treatment tank 1 and a discharge pipe 14a of coarse residue (g) is provided to the almost center of the separation plate 5 so as to pierce the same and a funnel-shaped guide plate 14b having holes larger than the diameter of the ceramic balls (e) is provided to the end part in the sewage residue decomposition treatment tank 1 of the discharge pipe 14a.
