PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a catalyst improved in activity and selectivity. SOLUTION: In the method for producing the improved catalyst, (a) a mixed metal oxide expressed by experimental formula of Aa Vb Nc Xd Oe (A is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Mo and W; N is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Te and Se; X is at least one element selected from Nb, Ta, Ti, etc.; when a=1, b=0.1-2, c=0.1-1, d=0.01-1, and e changes corresponding to the oxidation condition of other elements) is provided, (b) a contact mixture is formed by making a liquid contact member selected from the group consisting of organic acids, alcohols, inorganic acids, and hydrogen peroxide contact the mixed metal oxide, and (c) insoluble substances are recovered from the contact mixture, and the recovered insoluble substances are baked in a non-oxidative atmosphere. |
