PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a top guide of a fishing rod used for connecting a top rope to a fishline and capable of simply hanging the fishline on the rod head and preventing entwinement of the fishline around the fishing rod by a rotating space between the rod head and the fishline and making use of the fishing rod convenient. SOLUTION: This top guide body forms a fixing part for binding the fishline to one end of the body and a joining part for connecting a knot of rod head rope to the other end of the body and the fishline connects through the guide to the rod head of the fishing rod and the joining part comprises a hole which is wider than the knot of the top rope and a groove which is narrower than the knot in a state in which the terminal provided between rails formed both sides behind the hole is closed, and the knot is passed through the hole and the groove and is fixed above the groove to connect the fishline to the fishing rod.
