JUNCTION BOX FOR SHIELDED CABLE

A junction box for shielded cable, especially data transmission cable, is described, which consists of a lower part and an upper part of die- cast metal. The wires of the cables to be connected are introduced into a loading block, which can be latched into the lower part. A mounting plate, on which a printed circuit board is seated, is mounted in the upper part; the jacks are mounted on the printed circuit board. Insulation displacement contacts are seated in the mounting plate and pass through the loading block to contact the wires when the upper part is set down onto the lower part and the two parts are attached to each other by means of a screw connection.
