PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protector for wing-shaped needle capable of being safely fitted to a hollow needle while surely preventing a wrong puncture. SOLUTION: This protector houses a wing-shaped needle 1 comprising the hollow needle 2, a holding cylinder 3 for holding the rear end of the hollow needle 2 and a pair of wing pieces 4 and 4 formed in an expanded state integrally with the holding cylinder 3. This protector comprises a gutter-like member 7 for housing the hollow needle 2, the holding cylinder 3 and the superposed wing pieces 4 and 4, and a holding part 8 protruded outward from the bottom surface of the gutter-like member 7. The gutter-like member 7 comprises a part 9 for housing the hollow needle 2, which has a blocked tip part 9a, a part 10 for housing the holding cylinder 3, which has an opened rear end part 10a, and a narrowed part 7a for fitting the holding cylinder 3, which is provided in the bottom, and the narrowed part 7a is elastically engaged with the fitted holding cylinder 3 by the restoring force of the holding cylinder 3. The narrowed part 7a may be partially provided in the bottom part of the gutter-like member 7. The part 11 for housing the wing pieces 4 and 4 of the gutter-like member 7 is elastically engaged with the wing pieces 4 and 4 by the expanding force of the wing pieces 4 and 4. |
