PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a honeycomb structure in which components constituting the honeycomb structure are firmly joined to realize the strength as high as that of the base material. SOLUTION: A large number of trapezoidal corrugated plates 1 forming the components of the honeycomb structure are laminated to form a laminate 2, and the laminate is fitted between energization electrodes 73 and 76 of an electric joining machine 70 of an electric joining device 7. A DC current or a pulse current is supplied for a predetermined period under application of predetermined pressure. Next, the laminate is left for a predetermined period under the predetermined heated condition in a heat treatment machine 80. As a result, the honeycomb structure with the corrugated plates joined with the joining strength equivalent to that of the base material is obtained. |
