The invention relates to surface-modified fillers which are characterised in that the fillers are reactive inorganic fillers and the modifier is an amphiphilic aminoplast-ether-polymer or copolymer of the structure type (I), wherein Z means identical or different aminoplast central units based on melamine formaldehyde or urea formaldehyde derivatives, n= 10 to 500, R mean s the group [O-CH2-CH2]mO-S, wherein m= 5 to 500, and S represents a substitut ed or non-substituted alkyl, aryl, alkaryl or aralkyl group.
