PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an enlarging foundation for growing aquatic organisms solving the problems that a conventional epiphytic plate for transplantation, when used as an enlarging epiphytic plate, is insufficient in the effectiveness of spore adherence because of being of flat or porous shape and having no ridge corners helping the spore adherence, further, cannot look to the action of dropping foreign matter existing thereon because of having no grooves, for example, the question of spore retention is left unsolved. SOLUTION: This enlarging foundation is to be set on the periphery of a transplantation foundation for growing aquatic organisms composed of a body base for transplantation intended for adherence of seedlings or alga collected on the surface thereof and epiphytic plates for transplantation provided on the recesses or the like of the body base. This enlarging foundation comprises an enlarging epiphytic plate provided with ridge corners provided on the recesses or the like of an enlarging body base with one or several rows of uneven grooves and a flat surface and grooves; wherein the multidirectional ridge corners on the enlarging epiphytic plate and the uneven grooves on the enlarging body base enable spores released from the transplantation foundation to adhere thereto and the grooves on the enlarging epiphytic plate enable foreign matter such as sand/stone to be dropped.
