PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope with electrical safety in which any trouble of electric insulation does not occur between a reinforcing metal coil for a medical treatment instrument insertion channel and a signal cable. SOLUTION: In the endoscope, a bent portion 1a which is bent by remote control is provided in an end portion of an insertion portion of a flexible tube 1, the treatment instrument insertion channel 20 for inserting treatment instruments and a signal cable 6 for transmitting a signal are inserted and disposed along the whole length of the tube 1 and the portion 1a, and a reinforcing metal coil 21 is spirally wound at least along the external surface of the channel 20 at the portion positioned in the portion 1a. In this endoscope, electric insulating surface processing 21a is applied to the external surface of the coil 21.
