<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head making it possible to enhance its resilience against a ball while avoiding a decrease in strength of a face part. SOLUTION: The hollow golf club head comprises a crown part 2 and a sole part 3 both joined to the face part 1. A pair of grooved parts 5 and 5 extending in the vertical direction of the head are provided on the inner surface of the face part 1 and at the right and left sides of a sweet spot SS. The spacing D between the pair of grooved parts 5 and 5 is greater than the height H of the face part 1a at the position of the sweet spot and the depth d of the grooved part 5 is 5 to 30% of the thickness t of the adjacent face part 1.</p> |
