The invention relates to a system (10) for producing and/or treating a fuel, especially hydrogen, for a fuel cell for operating a motor vehicle. Said system comprises an evaporator (11) that functions as a heat sink and two reactor elements in the form of a shift reactor (13) that function as a heat source, and a reactor for the selective oxidation (14). The individual reactor elements (11; 13, 14) are linked with one another via a conduit (15). The aim of the invention is to provide a simple and inexpensive means for cooling and/or heating the individual reactor elements (11; 13, 14). To this end, the inventive system is provided with a heating/cooling device (16) that comprises a heating/cooling device for the evaporator (11) and least one heating/cooling device for the shift reactor (13) and the reactor for the selective oxidation (14). The individual heating/cooling devices are interlinked in a closed circuit via a flow duct (17) for the purpose of heat transport. A suitable oil is used as the heating/cooling medium and flows through the flow duct (17). The heat generated in the reactor elements (13, 14) is absorbed via the inventive system (10) via the corresponding heating/cooling devices and is transported to the evaporator (11) via the flow duct (17). The heat is then conveyed to the evaporator (11) via the respective heating/cooling device. |
