PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-measuring instrument whose measuring situation is easily confirmed and whose display is easily viewable even by a patient of an eye disease. SOLUTION: The self-measuring instrument is provided with a display part for displaying characters and a display color switching means for varying a displaying color at the display part according to the advancing situation of measuring. The display color switching means consists of a control part 12 for controlling the display part 11 and a measuring situation detection part 13 for detecting the measuring situation.
