PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface machining method of decorative parts used for necklaces and bracelets in which the decorative parts are not easily lost by increasing the thickness of a layer to be treated in the case of treatment of forming fine unevenness on the surface of the parts. SOLUTION: A pair of dies facing each other are brought into close contact with each other, one or more decorative parts are pressed between the facing face parts, and at least one of the dies is rotated circumferentially to roll the decorative parts between the dies, and fine uneven patterns are provided on the surface of the decorative parts by a large number of unevenness formed on the facing face parts of the dies. A fine uneven pattern layer to an outer surface of a small article for decoration can be easily realized at a low cost, a pattern of the fine uneven pattern layer provided on the outer surface of the small article for decoration becomes deep, and as a result, the uneven pattern is not lost even in a subsequent finishing step, or lost even when users use it as a commodity for a long time.
