PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trough type automatic scum skimmer constituted so as to regulate the bending direction of a flexible weir made of a rubber plate or the like even if the flexible weir receives the effect of water, heat, ultraviolet rays or the like to be changed in its warping direction and to accurately open a scum suction port to certainly suck floated scum. SOLUTION: In the trough type automatic scum skimmer 3 constituted so that the scum suction port 31 formed to the side surface of a trough is opened and closed by the bending and shaking motion of the flexible weir 32, a guide 33 for regulating the shaking direction of the flexible weir 32 due to the warpage thereof is arranged along the lateral direction of the outside surface of the flexible weir 32.
