FIELD: medicine, orthopedic surgery. SUBSTANCE: the suggested drill- retractor contains cutting means to remove material out of a lacuna during rotation of a cutting head. Cutting means contain relatively long main cutting edges, each of them is directed from the bottom towards a drill's top, and relatively short peripheral cutting edges, the quantity of which is more than that of main cutting edges and which are displaced at the bottom and around rotation axis at angular intervals. It is, also, suggested the method for implantation of a prosthetic component into an osseous lacuna. During drilling, the superior drill's part completely enters a lacuna, thus, an entering cylindrical part is developed there. Besides, a kit is suggested including a drill-retractor and a prosthesis. As a result, an instrument is created with the help of which one should conduct drilling or preparation of an osseous lacuna more accurately by excluding undesirable "capturing" and "clamping" between a cutting device and a cavity's edge. The suggested drill-retractor could be easily directed along desired rotation axis without any inclination of a drill towards this axis, the method is, also, developed to implant a prosthetic component into an osseous lacuna that provides more accurate operation for making a shape for an osseous lacuna and a kit of instruments is created to fulfill this method.
