STEEL CONTINUOUS CASTING METHOD

FIELD: metal continuous casting processes and equipment. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of cooling steel poured to mold due to introducing into it metallic cooler; in order to receive closed shrinkage blister, introducing cooler under steel level by depth 200 - 600 mm no later than in two minutes after termination of casting; using cooler in the form of three mutually welded metallic spheres with pin having volume no less than 0.009 cub. m ; keeping relation of cross section area of cooler to that of mold no less than 0.75. Method allows to eliminate transfer of head crops of continuously cast billet to waste. EFFECT: less loss of yield. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
