FIELD: protection of securities and registered documents. SUBSTANCE: method of protection of documents includes marking of each copy by individual numerical code consistently taken from series of numerals and meant for application of codes on documents or securities specified in advance. Above-mentioned series is formed in correspondence with algorithm assigned beforehand from sequence of numerals made up on basis of functional dependence chosen at will. Number of significant digits in code number depends on number of units subject to marking. Digits multiple of three are used in sequence. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of protection of documents and securities from forgery.
