METHOD FOR REMOVING SPINAL CORD TUMOR OF SAND GLASS TYPE

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves removing in two stages at the first of which intravertebral tumor part is removed and extravertebral tumor part is removed at the second stage. The intravertebral tumor part is sequentially treated with Nd-YAG laser radiation of 50 W power as a beam of 2 mm large diameter. It is completely removed by applying ultrasonic suction unit. The remaining extravertebral tumor part is sequentially treated with laser radiation via intervertebral foramen. The treated tumor portion is removed by using ultrasonic suction unit. The remaining portion of the extravertebral tumor portion is drawn via the intervertebral foramen and it is excised with the mentioned Nd-YAG laser radiation formed as a beam of 2 mm large diameter. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; reduced risk of traumatic complications. 4 dwg
