PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily carry out inserting operation in insertion of a reinforcement into a penetration part of a head end separation member. SOLUTION: This reinforcement inserting operation assisting apparatus used for fitting the head end separation member 3 in a cast-in-place pile around the reinforcement 2 in the pile head part of the cast-in-place reinforced concrete pile is provided with a cylinder part 1a. In the head end separation member 3, a slit communicated to the penetration part 4 is opened in the longitudinal direction, and the penetration part 4 is tapered to be communicated to a large-diameter side opening 5 in one end and a small-diameter side opening 6 in the other end. The cylinder part 1a provided with an outside diameter larger than an aperture of the small-diameter side opening 6 in the head end separation member 3 at least and smaller than the large-diameter side opening 5 is installed to the front end part of the reinforcement 2. When the reinforcement 2 is inserted into the head part separation member 3 and the upper face of the head part separation member 3 is pressed down by means of a hand H, the front end part of the reinforcement 2 inserted into the head part separation member 3 is guided through the penetration part by means of the cylinder part 1a.
