PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyamide composite material which comprises an expensive lamellar silicate and a polyamide resin and has an excellent balance of rigidity, heat resistance and toughness. SOLUTION: In this polyamide composite material, silicate layers of two or more expansive lamellar silicates having different cationic exchange capacities are dispersed in a molecular level in a polyamide resin. Preferably, the expansive lamellar silicates are selected from the following group A and group B: group A: one whose cationic exchange capacity is not less than 50 milli- equivalent/100 g and less than 100 milli-equivalent/100 g, group B: one whose cationic exchange capacity is not less than 100 milli-equivalent/100 g and not more than 200 milli-equivalent/100 g.
