PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a multicolored brick, by which the multicolored brick wherein various color tones are controlled can be easily produced by combining unused resources. SOLUTION: When the colored brick is produced by blending a plastic unused silicate mineral with coal ash or a mixture of the coal ash and a red brick raw material and firing, the blending amount of the unused silicate mineral or of the total of the unused silicate mineral and the red brick raw material is controlled to be in the range of 20 to 65 mass %, based on the total mass, or when the colored brick is produced by blending a non-plastic unused silicate mineral with a mixture of the coal ash and the red brick raw material and firing, the blending amounts of the unused silicate mineral and the red brick raw material are controlled to be 20 to 65 mass % and 10 to 60 mass %, respectively, and the firing temperature is set to be a predetermined temperature in the range of 1,100 to 1,300 deg.C. Thereby, the color tones are controlled, and the multicolored brick can produced. |
