PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool material in which warpage does not occur in a base material, a film is not peeled, and which has an elongated life even when repeatedly used at a high temperature. SOLUTION: This tool material for burning has a base material 2 selected from one of Al2 O3 -SiO2 -based, Al2 O3 -SiO2 -MgO-based, MgO-Al2 O3 -ZrO2 -based and SiC-based materials, a first thermal spray coating film 3 covered on a part or the whole face of the surface of the base material 2 and consisting of a Ba-Al-O based compound, and a second thermal spray coating film 4 covered on the surface of the first thermal spray coating film 3 and consisting of ZrO2 . |
