PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a data transfer rate, to reduce the power consumption, and to suppress the occurrence of a noise. SOLUTION: When data comprise a plurality of blocks, the blocks are recorded in a definite range R (a head can reach within the prescribed range of a seek amount from a current position) on a disk 3 like (1) to (4). Consequently, a recording position does not deviate in one direction on the disk 3, and the data themselves are not dispersed in a disk shape. The data transfer rate is improved when the data are reproduced, the power consumption is reduced and the occurrence of noise is suppressed.
