<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the possibility of destruction of an MR head due to static electricity. SOLUTION: A magnetic tape 3 wound round a reel hub 2S is supplied to a rotary drum 6 through tape guides 5a-5c, for instance, and the magnetic tape 3 passed through the peripheral surface of this rotary drum 6 is taken up by a reel hub 2T through tape guides 7a-7c. Then, a 1st means is provided for defining a potential of the MR head. That is, a shaft grounding 11 is arranged on the rotary drum 6, for instance, to make the GND of drum outside to be common with the GND of drum inside. Thus, the potential of the MR head provided in this rotary drum 6 becomes also equal to the GND of drum outside. Also as a 2nd means, any one of the tape guides 5a-5c and 7a-7c, or a plurality of them are electrically connected to the GND of drum outside. Thus, the potential of the magnetic tape 3 in contact with the tape guides 5a-5c and 7a-7c becomes equal to the GND of drum outside.</p> |
