PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To curtail the useless electric power consumption and useless waiting time by the useless light source lighting before exposure of photographic paper by assuring the necessary stabilization period before the stabilization of the exit light quantity from lighting of light sources by the minimum necessary extent even under any environmental temperature. SOLUTION: The stabilization periods meeting the ambient environmental temperatures of the respective light sources of R, G and B (a blue FL tube 8, a green LED array 9 and a red LED array 10) are stored into an LUT 15b. When the environmental temperatures are detected by a temperature sensor 14, the LUT 15b outputs the stable periods corresponding to the environmental temperatures described above by each of the respective light sources. A CPU 15c and drivers 16 to 18 light the respective light sources at such timing at which the end periods of the stabilization periods of the respective light sources coincide with each other during the respective stabilization periods outputted from the LUT 156.
