PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the rigidity at apertures for a recording and reproducing device of a disk cartridge, such as an optical disk. SOLUTION: The disk cartridge 10 is constituted by tightening and fixing an upper shell 12, a center frame 14 and a lower shell 15 and integrally connecting the opening ends of a center frame aperture 20 and lower shell aperture 22 for opening the recording surface of a recording medium 18 housed between the center frame 14 and the upper shell 12 to the lower side respectively by means of a reinforcing member 24 and a lower shell reinforcing member 26.
