PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mechanize pile hole excavation work in a steep mountain site having no organized road for safely and efficiently constructing a foundation pile. SOLUTION: The pile hole excavator 1 is disassembled into elements having weight of 2.5 tons or less in the level ground, and a large-scale jib crane 2 is disassembled into elements having weight of 1.9 tons or less. From a piedmont base A to a field base B close to a mountain site field, a small-scale jib crane 3 and the disassembled elements of the pile hole excavator 1 and the large-scale jib crane 2 are conveyed by means of a cable crane or a helicopter. In the field base B, the large-scale jib crane 2 is assembled by means of the small-scale jib crane 3, and by means of the large-scale jib crane 3, the excavator 1 is assembled to be reconstructed. Using the excavator 1, the pile hole is drilled in the mountain site field, concrete is placed after a reinforcing bar cage is inserted into the pile hole, and consequently, a large-aperture cast-in-place concrete pile is constructed.
