PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a burden on a worker when picking up waste on the ground such as cans, bottles, and PET bottles. SOLUTION: An elastically deformable holding member 13 is installed at the tip part of a bar-like member 12 formed of a slender material. The holding member 13 is formed in a generally C-shape by bending and forming a sheet metal such as a stainless steel sheet, and a guide part 15 for guiding waste 14 is formed at the opening part of the holding member 13 so as to be diverged toward the outside. When picking up the waste 14 such as cans, bottles, and PET bottles on the ground, the worker grasps the grip part 18 of the bar-like member 12 by hand, and holds the waste 14 on the ground with the holding member 13 at the tip of the bar-like member 12. Thus the worker can easily pick up the waste 14 on the ground without stooping or crouching.
