PURPOSE: A salinometer used for cooking is provided to measure the salinity of food when cooking food in a kitchen and to reduce the power consumption by removing an external amplifier. CONSTITUTION: A salinometer includes a microcomputer(10) having an EEPROM, working RAM, an A/D converter, and an I/O port therein. A salinity sensor(11) receives a measured current from the microcomputer(10) through a port(A1) and transmits a returning current to a port(d1). A temperature sensor(12) receives a measured current from the microcomputer(10) through a port(A2) and transmits a returning current to a port(d2). A power supply(17) supplies a direct current driving current to the microcomputer(10) when a switch signal is generated. A driving switch(13) drives the power supply(17) and sends a switch state value to the microcomputer(10). A switch(14) is provided to order a driving mode to the microcomputer(10). An LCD module(15) is provided to display information such as salinity and temperature.
