PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transaction processing system which improves customer services by eliminating the trouble of card management and eliminating the need to carry many cards. SOLUTION: A portable telephone set 2 stores a plurality of membership numbers of various services such as a point service in a storage part 24. When a transaction is processed, the portable telephone set 2 sends a membership number to a transaction processor 1. The transaction processor 1 specifies the customer according to the membership number sent from the portable telephone set 2 and processes the transaction. Consequently, a card which stores the membership number is not necessary to eliminate the trouble of card management and, therefore, the need to carry many cards.
