摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure smooth operation and shifting action of a cone type CVT and to improve power transmission efficiency by paying attention to accuracy of double cones. SOLUTION: In this friction type continuously variable transmission continuously changing speed by moving a carrier 10 in an axial direction of input and output shafts 2, 3 by speed changing mechanism 11, 12, 13 and displacing a contact part of double cones 9 with a sun roller 7 and an outer ring 8, parallelism between opposing cone generating lines 9a' and 9b', or 9a" and 9b" is regulated to 0.04 mm or less, and distance difference between a plurality of double cones related to distance between two sections perpendicular to a rotation axis including designated diameters D1 , D2 of cone surfaces 9a, 9b of both sides of each double cones 9 is regulated to 0.06 mm or less.
