PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail prevented from interfering with an attachment and greatly extended from a housing for easy operation. SOLUTION: In the civil engineering/construction machine having a housing covering an engine, a hydraulic apparatus and the like arranged on an upper structure, this handrail for operation is arranged in the outer circumference upper part of the housing, a housing place for housing the handrail is arranged on one end side of the upper structure, and a hydraulic cylinder is arranged for moving the handrail freely between a working position and the housing position.
