PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an objective lens for a fluorescence microscope whose NA is high, which is improved in terms of the flatness of image surface and whose axial chromatic aberration is excellently compensated. SOLUTION: This objective lens is constituted of a 1st lens group having a plurality of doublets and converging light from an object, a 2nd lens group including a negative lens whose strong concave surface faces to an image side, and a 3rd lens group including a doublet consisting of a negative lens whose concave surface faces to the object side and a positive lens from the object side, and satisfies following conditions (1), (2) and (3). (1) 1.65<=nd <=1.8, (2) 25<=νd <=41 and (3) T360 >=0.5.
