PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorption refrigerating machine that is made compact in shape while relieving thermal stresses and improved in efficiency by expanding the range of concentrations. SOLUTION: This absorption refrigerating machine is constituted by housing an absorber A, an evaporator E, a regenerator G, and a condenser C in one can drum in a state where the evaporator E and condenser C are arranged respectively obliquely above and above the absorber A arranged in the lower part of the drum, and the regenerator G is arranged above the condenser C. The absorber A is laterally divided into many sections and, at the same time, the evaporator E is vertically divided into sections of the same number as that of the divided sections of the absorber A. Then the divided sections of the evaporator E are combined with the divided sections of the absorber A by respectively combining the lowermost and uppermost divided sections E2 and E1 of the evaporator E with their nearest and farthest divided sections A2 and A1 of the absorber A. Then the divided sections are formed in different chambers by providing partition walls 7 among the divided sections. In addition, refrigerant vapor passages respectively having partition walls are provided between the divided sections of the evaporator E and regenerator G. The number of the divided sections of the evaporator E and absorber A are preferably two or three.
