PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with correction operation of a large charged quantity of electricity at charging finish, by starting integration of a charged quantity of electricity, along with the start of flow of charging current. SOLUTION: This charger is composed of a temperature detector 14 for detecting the temperature of a secondary battery; a resistor 6 for converting a charging current into a voltage; a nonvolatile storage element 13, in which a table of charging integration start voltages with respect to battery temperatures and charging currents and a table of charging finish currents, with respect to battery temperatures are stored; and a logic computing element 12 which develops the charging integration start table and the charging finish current table stored in the storage element 13 on a RAM and controls a charge integration start voltage and a charging finish current by the battery temperature obtained by the temperature detector 4 and a charging current obtained by the resistor 6. Consequently, a correction operation of the large charged quantity of electricity, which is performed when charging is finished, can be dispensed with, by starting the integration of the charged quantity of electricity along with the start of the flow of the charging current.
