PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable miniaturization by preventing increase of the number of ports and connectors. SOLUTION: In a microprocessor 2 of a control unit 1, when a power is applied, a level of a port P2 for discriminating a type is first confirmed after setting a port P1 for control and the port P2 for discriminating the type in an input port respectively. Then, when the level of the port P2 for discriminating the type is L level, a functional expansion cassette connected with a connector 3 for connection is discriminated as a type A in figure 2 by the microprocessor 2 as a type discriminating means. Meanwhile, the level of the port P2 for discriminating the type is H level, the microprocessor 2 confirms a level of the port P1 for control, when the level is the H level, discriminates the functional expansion cassette connected with the connector 3 as a type B in figure 2 and when its level is the L level, discriminates the functional expansion cassette as a type C in figure 2.
