PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably apply receiving processing to a demultiplexed optical signal in an optical receiver in a wavelength multiplexed optical transmitting system for multiplexing and transmitting the optical signals of a plurality of wavelengths. SOLUTION: The optical receiver in the wavelength multiplexed optical transmitting system, is provided with a demultiplexer (125) for demultiplexing the wavelengths of wavelength multiplexed optical signals, an optical amplifier (optical pre-amplifier 127 and an automatic level control unit 128) for controlling the optical signal from the demultiplexer 125 so as to have fixed power level and a receiving means (receiver 126) for receiving the optical signal. |
