PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an optical device efficiently and concurrently observable a plurality of fluorescent dyes used to elucidate functions of organisms. SOLUTION: The optical device is provided with an illumination optical system to make light from a light source irradiate a sample, a first wavelength selecting member, an optical distributor to turn illumination light toward the sample, an objective lens, a detecting device and a second wavelength selecting member placed between the objective lens and the detecting device. The first wavelength selecting member is provided with a wavelength selecting element selectively transmitting light in a specified wavelength region out of the illumination light, the second wavelength selecting member is provided with a wavelength selecting element selectively transmitting light of a specified wavelength out of light reflected and emitted by the sample and further the optical distributor is provided with an optical element with at least >=85% transmittance and <=15% reflectance in >=400 nm and <=700 nm wavelength region. |
