PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive collimator which is excellent in productivity while preventing the positional displacement of a pigtail part caused by a volumetric change during welding and a light loss resulting from the positional displacement, and to provide a collimator block and a method for manufacturing the collimator. SOLUTION: The pigtail part 110 consists of an optical fiber 208 and a ferrule frame body 116. The pigtail part 110 and a sleeve part 106 are fixed not by welding but by bonding.
