PURPOSE: A blend of a high Tg polymer emulsion and a pressure sensitive adhesive polymer emulsion, its preparation method and its use are provided, to improve the balance of the adhesive strength and the cohesive strength of a pressure sensitive adhesive. CONSTITUTION: The blend comprises 1-50 wt% of a high Tg polymer emulsion and an aqueous pressure sensitive adhesive polymer emulsion, wherein the high Tg polymer emulsion has a Tg of 30-300 deg.C and a number average particle size of 80-1,000 nm. Preferably the aqueous pressure sensitive adhesive polymer emulsion is an acryl polymer emulsion; and the high Tg polymer emulsion is prepared by the emulsion polymerization of at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of styrene, C1-C8 alkyl acrylate, C1-C8 alkyl methacrylate, vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate, acrylonitrile and methacrylonitrile. |
