PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aqueous ink suitable for ink-jet recording, especially an aqueous ink exhibiting characteristics excellent as a color ink for so-called regular paper and to provide a method for recording using the same. SOLUTION: This aqueous ink is characterized in that in an aqueous ink comprising a colorant, an organic solvent dissolving or dispersing the colorant, water and a surfactant, the ink contains a polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene alkyl ether acetate represented by general formula (I) (R1 is a 6-14C alkyl group which may be branched; m and n are each 1-20; M is an alkali metal, quaternary ammonium, quaternary phosphonium or an alkanolamine). |
