PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a transient performance when the requested power generating energy of a hybrid vehicle is changed. SOLUTION: When the requested power generating energy is increased, the inertia torque Tin of an engine and a generator caused due to an increase in rotating speed is calculated, and a target engine torque Te is set by adding the inertia torque Tin. Thus the power generating energy can be rapidly increased to converge to a requested value.
