PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner capable of greatly improving combustion efficiency of a gasoline or diesel engine. SOLUTION: Fine powder having an average grain size of 0.1μm to 100μm and consisting of ion emitting natural radioactive rare earth element mineral is adhered to natural fiber or synthetic fiber constituting a filter element 3 arranged in a replaceable manner within a casing 1 forming an air filter. Reforming air passing through the filter element 3 is supplied to a combustion chamber of the gasoline engine or the diesel engine.
