PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting cover receiver which can be fixed to the luminaire body substrate without a screw, and a luminaire wherein the lighting cover is mounted by such a receiver. SOLUTION: This is the lighting cover receiver mounted on the luminaire body substrate and comprised to include a support part and the base part for supporting the lighting cover, and (1) this is provided with plural engaging protrusions having an erected part and an engaging part equipped with expansions in lateral directions from the erected part and the part at the upper side of the base part, (2) this is also provided with the engaging protrusions raised from the base part, possible to be pushed down and elastically returnable, and (3) the engaging protrusions are pushed by the front face of the substrate and retreat when the engaging protrusions are inserted into the engaging hole of the substrate, and successively the engaging protrusions are elastically protruded into the inside of the locking hole of the substrate and fitted to the brim of the locking hole when the engaging protrusions are made to be engaged with the substrate by making the base part slide, thereby the base part is made to be fixed to the substrate.
